Preserving vital historical treasures alongside the living treasures - the horses carrying the original bloodlines of the desert that founded the Crabbet Stud of Lady Anne and Wilfrid Scawen Blunt in 1878- is essential to ensure this remarkable history is not lost to future generations.

Mark retired in 2014 from his private equity-backed construction software company after 25 years of service, the final ten as CEO. He now serves as Chair of Trustees of The Plaister Charity and as Director of its trading business, The Grange Equestrian Centre Ltd, where he is committed to building The Grange into a thriving centre that can sustain the charity and its horses for future generations.
Relatively new to the world of Crabbet (15 years), Mark supports his wife Natalie with the Moonlight Arabian Stud in the UK. His broader interest in horses spans many years, with a particular focus on equine behaviour. Having assisted on Monty Roberts and Kelly Marks courses and demonstrations, he observed the strengths and limitations of various methods, including Parelli and Tellington Touch, and jointly developed an Equine Behaviour Course accredited to City & Guilds Level 3.
Mark founded Crabbet Heritage in 2017 and co-founded the Crabbet Heritage Magazine, launched in summer 2018 to celebrate the Centenary of the AHS and the 140th anniversary of the founding of the Crabbet Arabian Stud by Lady Anne and Wilfrid Scawen Blunt in 1878. He is passionate about ensuring that rare historical books and treasures are preserved, and that the living legacy of the Crabbet bloodlines is not lost to future generations.
