He has been instrumental in helping secure valuable outcross bloodlines for the small domestic breeding pool, facilitating the import of several pure Crabbet horses from Australia.

John sold his privately owned healthcare company a few years ago and remains active in business, travelling extensively and supporting charitable causes, often through demanding physical challenges such as trekking across the Arctic Circle.
A committed endurance rider, John owns several horses including an exceptional purebred Crabbet stallion competing very successfully in dressage and ridden showing. He is a passionate supporter of the Crabbet Arabian in the UK and has played a significant role in strengthening the domestic gene pool, where numbers are extremely scarce. The recent import of four pure Crabbet horses from Australia, facilitated with John's support, represents a meaningful addition to breeding options in this country. It is hoped these horses will produce quality stock for future competition and help preserve these historic bloodlines for generations to come. The charity, which holds permission to breed Crabbet Arabians given how rare they are, hopes to benefit from future breeding with one of these precious horses.
