From helping achieve a 5-Star Food Hygiene rating to judging showjumping, organising showing classes and competing one of our own Crabbet Arabians, her contribution spans far beyond the café. She is a wonderful example of the community spirit that makes The Grange so special.
When The Plaister Charity took over The Grange in late 2025, reopening the café was an early priority. Jade came recommended through her summer crepe catering business and from the outset has been an outstanding supporter of the charity. She helped bring the kitchen back up to standard and played a key role in achieving the 5-Star Food Hygiene rating, and now regularly runs the café on event days.
Jade's contribution extends well beyond the kitchen. A former British Showjumping judge, she stepped in to judge unaffiliated showjumping at a time when finding qualified officials was proving a real challenge, and will be joining other team members at BS judges training later in the year. She also organised The Grange's first Showing Show in April and has taken to showing one of the Crabbet Arabians in the youngstock classes, with considerable success.
Jade has become a truly valued member of the team, and the charity is enormously grateful for everything she brings to The Grange.
